OBJECTIVE
In 2024, Cyberlite partnered with United Overseas Bank (UOB) as part of its My Digital Space initiative to address the digital divide and promote cyber wellness among disadvantaged and vulnerable communities in Singapore. The programme aimed to equip children and families with the tools and knowledge needed to navigate the digital world safely, fostering critical thinking and digital resilience among participants. It also sought to empower parents and guardians with practical strategies for guiding their children’s online behaviours.

IMPLEMENTATION
Student Engagement
The cyber wellness workshops reached over 1,500 children across primary schools and Social Service Agencies (SSAs). These sessions were designed to cater to different age groups, ranging from kindergarten to primary students, and covered topics such as online privacy, cyberbullying, and digital media literacy. Each workshop incorporated engaging activities, including the popular "Real or Fake" quiz and a creative digital mascot design exercise, making learning both interactive and memorable.
Train-the-Trainer Sessions
To complement the student workshops, Cyberlite conducted Train-the-Trainer sessions for over 200 parents, guardians, and trainers. These sessions provided actionable advice on key topics such as setting digital boundaries, navigating popular platforms like Roblox and TikTok, and effectively using privacy settings and parental controls.
Inclusive Programme Design
Inclusivity was a core focus of the programme. By situating workshops within local SSAs and tailoring content to the needs of vulnerable families, the initiative ensured accessibility and meaningful engagement for those who needed it most.

IMPACT
This programme achieved a significant and tangible impact on the participants it served. Over 1,500 children and 200 adults from underprivileged backgrounds gained foundational skills to stay safe and confident in digital spaces. Feedback from participants highlighted the programme's relevance and effectiveness, with 100% expressing a desire for it to continue in the future.
Through this partnership with UOB, Cyberlite demonstrated the power of targeted cyber wellness education to bridge the digital divide and empower vulnerable communities. By equipping children and caregivers with the skills needed to thrive in the digital world, the initiative laid the foundation for a safer, more inclusive digital future.
