Cyberlite Joins ITU as a Sector Member

Singapore, May 1, 2025 - Cyberlite is proud to announce its official admission as a Sector Member of the International Telecommunication Union - Development Sector (ITU-D), a specialised agency of the United Nations responsible for issues related to information and communication technologies. This membership marks a significant milestone in our journey to promote sustainable and equitable cyber safety and generative AI education across the Asia-Pacific region.
The ITU-D plays a critical role in fostering inclusive digital development, and its Child Online Protection (COP) initiative provides a global framework to safeguard children from online risks while promoting their rights to access, participation, and empowerment in the digital world. As a Sector Member, Cyberlite is now strategically positioned to contribute to this global mission through our evidence-based, age-progressive, and localised educational programmes.
In parallel, Cyberlite’s work is also aligned with ITU’s AI for Good initiative, which champions the use of artificial intelligence to accelerate progress toward the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
By joining the ITU-D, we are excited to deepen our global collaborations, share regional insights, and contribute to shaping inclusive digital policies that protect and uplift the next generation.
