FOCUS AREAS
The Questions Driving Our Research
We study the questions shaping young people's digital lives, especially the ones the field hasn't answered yet. We hold a rare vantage point: years inside classrooms and communities mean we know the students, parents and educators these questions are about, not as research subjects, but as people we work with directly.
We collaborate with civil society, institutions, the public sector and private partners across the region to turn what we see on the ground into evidence others can build on.
AI AND YOUNG PEOPLE
How are young people forming bonds with AI, and what does it change about how they trust, learn and relate?
ONLINE SAFETY
How are young people's digital lives changing across Asia Pacific, and what risks are emerging faster than the response?
DIGITAL WELLBEING
How do young people manage their own time, attention and mood online, and what helps them build that skill?
SAFETY AT HOME
What do parents really struggle with in keeping children safe online, and where does the advice they're given fall short?
IMPACT MEASUREMENT
Which approaches genuinely change behaviour over time, and which only raise awareness?
If these are your questions too, we'd love to hear from you.
OUR APPROACH

Research Design & Methodology
Most partnerships begin with a question or emerging trend that needs attention. We define your question precisely, identify who holds the answer, and select methods fit for the claim we'll need to make, balancing rigour with what's practical in real classrooms and communities.
We draw on the full range of qualitative and quantitative tools, and choose the mix that fits:
Surveys and data analysis for breadth, scale and pattern, including our own operational data and public datasets.
Interviews and focus groups for qualitative insights that statistics can't capture.
Co-design and participatory methods when the question calls for working directly with young people or the adults around them.
Pulse surveys to track shifting sentiment over time, quick, low-stakes check-ins that surface change as it happens.
IMPACT MEASUREMENT
The ABC Framework
Awareness is the first step to shifting behaviour. We measure what happens after the lesson ends: what stays, and what people do differently. In time, small shifts compound to become the way a whole community thinks about online safety.
Awareness
Bringing cyber safety, digital wellbeing, and AI safety topics to the forefront.
Behaviour
What students and trusted adults start doing differently to stay protected online
Culture
How a whole community's culture shifts to become the shared norm

PUTTING EVIDENCE TO ACTION
Advisory for Online Safety and AI Safety
We help partners make confident decisions about online safety, led by evidence and grounded in what we see on the ground, never opinion alone. Whether you're shaping policy, a platform or a curriculum, the path forward is clear and evidence-led.
Platforms & Industry
We help trust and safety teams communicate their policies, features and protections clearly to young people and parents, shaping the message, the content, and how it reaches the people who rely on it.
Schools & Education Systems
We guide schools and education systems on implementing online safety curriculum and drafting their AI positioning, taken from our experience on the ground in classrooms.
Government & Policy
We bring ground-level evidence to the governments and regulators shaping online safety policy, so decisions are rooted in how young people experience the digital space.
Academia and The Wider Field
We lend our expertise to the research, working groups and sector initiatives shaping the future of online safety and digital wellbeing.
